FIELD: telecommunications.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to telecommunications and can be used to receive binary data by the method of relative phase telegraphy (RPT). For this purpose, a detection unit is introduced into a device for receiving RPT signals, containing a series-connected coherent detector, a regenerator and a code converter (CC), a clock frequency selection unit, a comparison unit and a control unit, and the CC output is the output of a demodulated binary signal and the first output of the device, error detection and correction unit (EDCU) is introduced, the clock input of which is combined with the clock input of the comparison unit, another input of the regenerator and the output of the clock frequency selection unit, the EDCU information input is connected to the CC output, the other 2M EDCU inputs are connected to the corresponding 2M outputs of the control unit.
EFFECT: increasing the noise immunity of receiving the RPT signals by correcting erroneously received information binary symbols, which are determined using redundant service information contained in the received signal in the form of a periodic sequence of single sync symbols evenly distributed among the information symbols.
