FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to crushing equipment, namely, to jaw crushers, and may be used in crushing of various rocks - ores and rock products, also with flaky structure, with cyclic-progressive technology of deposits processing by open method and in underground conditions. Jaw crusher comprises bed plate, fixed and movable jaws while movable jaw is arranged with stepped shape, and angle of crushing chamber upper stage gripping is accepted as lower than permissible value. Downstream stages are installed with displacement of their upper edges to the side that is opposite from fixed jaw, with gripping angles that do not exceed permissible value, and geometric parameters of crushing chamber are defined by the following ratios - h<a/2, H>a/2, where h is height of transition section between adjacent stages, H is stage height, a is minimum distance between lower edges of stages and fixed jaw, besides, angle of inclination to horizon of transition section between adjacent stages is accepted as equal to gripping angle of above mentioned stages.
EFFECT: higher throughput capacity of jaw crusher with guaranteed crushing and passage of rock, also with flaky structure, in crushing chamber without crusher height rise.
