FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of odorants for combustible gases, in particular, to odor-free gases. Composition, which can be used, in particular as odorant for gaseous fuel, in particular natural gas, containing: - from 0.1 to 49.9% of alkylsulfide (I) of formula: R¹-S-R², in which R¹ and R², are similar or different, represent: - alkyl radical, containing from 1 to 4 carbon atoms; or - R¹ and R² together with sulphur atom, to which they are bonded, represent saturated or unsaturated cycle, containing from 3 to 5 carbon atoms, if necessary substituted with C₁-C₄ alkyl or C₁-C₄ alkenyl radical; - from 50 to 99.8% of alkyacrylate (II), in which alkyl radical contains from 1 to 12 carbon atoms, preferably from 1 to 8; - from 0.001 to 0.1% of compound (III) inhibiting polymerisation of alkylacrylate (II), containing stable nitroxide radical of formula (IV): ,

in which - R³ and R⁴ are similar or different, represent, each, tertiary or secondary hydrocarbon radical, containing from 2 to 30 carbon atoms, preferably from 4 to 15, and if necessary, one or several heteroatoms, selected from sulphur, phosphorus, nitrogen or oxygen; or - R³ and R⁴ together with nitrogen atom to which they are bonded, represent cyclic hydrocarbon radical, containing from 4 to 10 carbon atoms, preferably from 4 to 6, said radical being substituted, if necessary. Invention also relates to method of odoration of odor-free gaseous fuel, including addition of efficient amount of said composition, and to gaseous fuel, containing said composition in amount from 1 to 500 mg/nm³, preferably from 2 to 50 mg/ nm³.

EFFECT: obtaining odorated gas with reduced content of sulphur dioxide, obtained during burning.
