FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an improved method of agglomeration of mineral ores used in the blast furnace. A layer of sintering mixture composed of fine particles containing the ore and fuel is sintered by lighting the mixture in order to obtain porous sintered lumps, followed by their crushing to reach adequate sizes of the lumps and cooling the particles obtained after crushing. An aqueous solution of transition metal sulphate or barium sulphate is introduced in the sintering mixture with concentration of 5-35 particles per a million at the rate of 5-100 ml per a ton of the sintering mixture. The transition metal sulphate is taken out from the group composed of copper sulphate, manganese sulphate and ferric sulphate.
EFFECT: faster sintering.
