FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: device contains a single-wavelength laser of continuous action with plainly polarised radiation, optically connected with the two-beam Rozhdestvensky's interferometer. A dish with the investigated optically transparent substance and a crossed nicol are placed in one of optical branches of the interferometer, and the dish with the investigated optically transparent substance is placed in a quadrupole condenser and a solenoid. The condenser is electrically connected to the high-frequency generator a sine-cosine voltage with adjustable amplitude, and the solenoid is electrically connected to an adjustable source of a direct current. The interferometer output is optically connected with a photointake, connected to a spectrum analyser by an output.
