FIELD: analyzing or investigating materials.
SUBSTANCE: device comprises light source, collimator, plate made of photoelastic material, light analyzer, lens, and screen connected in series. The light source is a laser. The plate is set in the Fabry-Perot interferometer mounted in the optical path between the collimator and light analyzer at the Brewster angle with respect to the light flux and perpendicular to the propagation of ultrasonic oscillation of the three-dimensional ultrasonic resonator made of oppositely arranged identical first and second piezoelectric plates having inner inhomogeneities and interposed between the first piezoelectric plate and plate made of photoelastic material. The latter is mounted in the plane of node of the stationary ultrasonic wave for its background component. The device also has high-frequency generator, attenuator , and phase shifter connected in series. The output of the high-frequency generator is additionally connected with the first piezoelectric plate. The output of the phase shifter is connected with the second one.
EFFECT: enhanced sensibility.
