FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: laser heterodyne radiation reception method proceeds from photomixing of received radiation and coherent heterodyne radiation as a plane wave of difference frequency of radio signal band in photosensitive elements optically coupled with receiving lens. Receiving pads of photosensitive elements are displaced relative to a focal plane of receiving lens at the distance equal to 1.95λ(f/D)2, where f is a focal length, D is a diameter of receiving lens, λ is wavelength of laser radiation.
EFFECT: higher noise-to-signal ratio at the input of resolving locator.
