FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electric accessories of an internal combustion engine. The spark plug has a body on to which are attached an insulator, a rod-shaped centre electrode, fitted into the central opening of the insulator such that, the electrode tip comes out from the end of the insulator, and an annular electrode in form of a cup. The annular electrode forms an igniter chamber with its inner cavity around the centre electrode. The opening in the annular electrode, together with the lateral surface of the end of the centre electrode, forms a discharge gap. The centre electrode projects beyond the end of the annular electrode. There is a conical depression at the end of the centre electrode.

EFFECT: increased engine power, fuel saving, reduced toxicity of combustion products, longer service life of the spark plug and stable engine starting at low temperature.
