SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, specifically to pharmacology, and concerns an agent which does not contain living microorganisms, benefit to a human body by growth stimulation of intestinal symbiont microflora representatives, while being a substrate and energy material for normal microflora. There is offered application of low-etherified calcium pectate of etherification degree 1.2%, molecular weight 39.3 kDa as a prebiotic agent.
EFFECT: extended range of prebiotic products that benefit to a human body by growth stimulation of intestinal symbiont microflora representatives, creating conditions for probiotics actually, lowered population of pathogenic microflora.
