FIELD: medicine, pharmaceutics.
SUBSTANCE: claimed is medication, possessing anti-helicobacter action. As anti-helicobacter medication claimed is low-etherificated non-starch polysaccharide - calcium pectate, which has the following physic-chemical characteristics: etherification degree - 1.2%, molecular weight - 39.3 kDa, content of anghydro galacturonic acid - 67.3% and calcium - 38 mg/g sample. Substance was earlier known as prebiotic and by its preventive action on development of ulcerous lesions of stomach, caused by intake of non-steroid anti-inflammatory medications. Demonstrated is expressed action in vitro of calcium pectate on Helicobacter pylori culture.
EFFECT: detected activity with account of earlier known one makes it possible to consider calcium pectate a universal medication for treatment of ulcer disease of stomach and duodenum, other gastrointestinal diseases, associated with Helicobacter pylori.
