FIELD: transport, conveyors.

SUBSTANCE: conveyor locking device consists of locking appliance fixed on shell (7) of drum (4) to interact with movable locking element. The aforesaid appliance represents blades (6) oriented horizontally relative to drum axle (5), planes of the said blades being located along generating lines of the drum surface. Locking element 8) features rectangular cross section. Plate (12) on conveyor frame (3) is hinged horizontally thereto to allow the plate turning in vertical plane. The axis of hinge (13) is shifted with respect to plate (14) centre of gravity towards power drive (11). The plate free end, on the power drive side, is loaded by helical spring (15) towards the conveyor frame. Latter has stop (16) to interact with the plate in its horizontal position in the section between the helical spring and hinge. Time of cutting off power drive is selected, with respect to that of cutting off the conveyor drive, to have lag varying from zero to the time of the conveyor belt free running out after cutting conveyor drive.

EFFECT: simpler design, possibility to brake conveyor belt after cutting off drive motor, reduced running out and belt braking time.
