FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method for purifying of sugar solutions obtained from sugar beet or from maize or potato starch provides its treatment with phenol adsorption resin containing multiple of phenol OH-groups on the surface of porous aromatic polymer and following ion exchanging treatment. The latter is implemented by passing of sugar solution consequently through strongly-basic anion exchange resin and weakly acid cation exchange resin or through mixed layer of these resins or by consequent passing through strongly-basic anion exchange resin and mixed layer containing strongly-basic anion exchange resin and weakly acid cation exchange resin. Ion exchange treatment is to be implemented after treatment with phenol adsorption resin.
EFFECT: removing of components with unpleasant odour contained in sugar solutions and preventing of their presence in purified sugar solutions.
