FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: inventions refer to iron and steel industry and can be implemented at melting of iron in blast furnace or cupola. The method consists in continuous removal of iron and slag from crucible of the blast melting furnace, in cyclic accumulation of liquid products of melting in a fore hearth, in tapping iron and slag into a pool at the end of each cycle; in holding liquid products of melting in the pool during the next cycle of their accumulation in the fore hearth and in separate tapping first slag, and iron next from the pool before the end of the liquid melting products accumulation cycle in the fore hearth. The fore hearth and the pool are rotated around the common axis coinciding with horizontal or inclined to it at angle not exceeding 15°. Installations consist of the fore hearth and pool with a common metal case; they are separated with a refractory partition with a tapping port. According to the first version the fore hearth has a shape of a truncated cone and a cylinder pool designed to rotate around axis by means of a rotation drive. According to the second version the fore hearth and the pool are of cylinder shape and are designed to rotate around axis by means of the rotation drive. The fore hearth is equipped with a connecting notch. Iron and slag notches are made in the pool.

EFFECT: upgraded quality of iron.
