FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to shaft-reverberatory furnace for remelting metal, mainly aluminium scrap. Shaft-reverberatory furnace comprises a shaft, a melting chamber, a storage bath, bounded with bottoms and walls and having two domes, two drain tap holes, two rotary chutes with bowls, a gas duct and a welded frame. Furnace has a faceted shaft, in upper part of which there are two working windows, and in melting chamber there is also a working window, a slag window at boundary of melting chamber and storage bath and slag window in storage bath, device for lifting and lowering of gate of working windows forming an L-shaped lock. In furnace there are five gas injection 21-mixing burners in melting chamber and two gas 12-mixing burner in storage bath. Furnace is built in a steel box with heat insulation between it and each wall, consisting of three layers of sheet asbestos cardboard. Bottom of melting chamber and collecting bath are made from bottom blocks KS-95, laid on four layers of asbestos cardboard and pad from diatomite powder mixed with crumbs from light-weight brick, which enables to retain heat preventing its emittance to frame. Furnace has two turning lined chutes with rotary lined bowls for simultaneous casting through two tap holes fused metal in furnace into pouring equipment located in service sector with angle 160°. In furnace there is a quick-change tap hole brick in metal box. Arches above melting chamber and storage bath have a heat-insulating coating, and a heat-insulating mullite glass-fibre layer of MLF-260 grade is laid from above them. Furnace can operate on natural and artificial draft with two-stage dust-gas cleaning system.

EFFECT: providing small heat losses, higher efficiency and re-melt of scrap unsorted from foreign inclusions.
