FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering, particularly, to SHF-radio engineering and can be used as a matched high-power SHF-load. Proposed load comprises ridged waveguide made in low-conductivity material. Note that air gap in the said ridged waveguide makes less than 0.1 of the waveguide height. Note also that attenuation factor over the said height varies by the following law, i.e. α=10·lg(n/(n-1)), where n makes the number of absorbing sections, while the required attenuation of aforesaid sections obeys allows a uniform power dissipation along the load.

EFFECT: increased power dissipation.
