FIELD: microwave technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to microwave technology and can be used as a terminator in waveguide paths with a high power level as a matched load. The microwave load contains a metal waveguide with a height "B" of a narrow wall and a width "A" of a wide wall and an absorber adjacent to it in the form of a block of graphite plates located parallel to the wide walls of the waveguide. Each plate on the inlet side has a wedge shape, as a result of which the gap between the plates evenly narrows to a very small value and then passes into the area with this constant very small gap. To transfer heat from the load to the environment, the load has fins on the outside. The gaps between the plates transform into narrow slits, in which the main absorption of the microwave power occurs, while films of a heat-resistant dielectric with a high breakdown voltage are placed in the narrow slits of the microwave load.
EFFECT: increasing the level of power dissipation and electrical strength, as well as reducing the voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) and the overall dimensions of the microwave load with structural and technological simplicity.
