FIELD: oil-and-gas production.
SUBSTANCE: hydraulic cutter is lowered into a reactor to the upper level of coke and a high-pressure water pump is switched on. Water under high pressure moves through the mouth of a flange 13 and communicating openings of a movable 9 and an immovable 8 slide valve along a vertical pipe 4 to the head 6 of drilling nozzles 7. When operating the hydraulic cutter, air-tightness of the switch device is regulated by pressing the butt-end of the adjusting sleeve 17, made from softer material, to the joint of a stepped shaft 16 which is harder. If the gear system of sector 14 is clogged with coke particles, the adjusting sleeve is taken out of flange 13 and the gear system is cleaned by blowing with compressed air, for example. After cleaning the gear system in the switch device, the adjusting sleeve 17 is put back into flange 13 and grinds in with the joint of the stepped shaft 16.
EFFECT: saving water and electricity during operation of the hydraulic cutter and improved particle-size composition of the discharged coke.
