LOCALISING DEVICE FOR RADIOGRAPHIC ANALYSIS OF BLASTING PROCESSES Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC F42D5/04

Abstract RU 2367899 C1

FIELD: blasting work.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to blasting work, particularly to radiographic analysis of physical and mechanical properties of materials subjected to intensive loads generated by explosives. Proposed device comprises blasting chamber, wherein two diametrically opposite holes are arranged for radiographic radiation to pass through. Damping device are fitted in aforesaid holes to extend beyond the chamber. Outer edges of damping devices accommodate plugs incorporating elements sensitive to radiation. Aforesaid damping device represents cylindrical, or expanding stepwise cylindrical or expanding tapered enclosure. The latter can house one or several disks with central holes, each accommodating plastic-material membrane. Inner chamber of the said enclosure can be filled with porous material. Aforesaid plug element, sensitive to radiation, can represent one disk or disk pack, or conical membrane with flanges, its apex facing the blasting chamber. Additionally, a dynamic gate can be arranged ahead of the said plug.

EFFECT: preservation of load bearing ability of blasting chamber, environmental safety and reliability.
