SUBSTANCE: invention is related to the field of material analysis by radiation methods and may be used to detect sulphur concentration in oil and oil products directly in technological pipelines in flow. Method for detection of sulphur concentration in oil and oil products consists in the fact that analysed sample in flow cuvette is simultaneously radiated with characteristic X-ray radiations of silver and element of Mendeleev periodic table with nuclear number from 42 to 57. After registration of radiations passed through sample, sample density is identified, using formula. Using this expression, sulphur concentration is detected by formula.

EFFECT: increased reliability of sulphur concentration detection, reduced costs.
