FIELD: oil industry; oil refining industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for the analysis of the content of impurities in oil and petroleum products with a flow-through impurity analyzer. The essence of the invention is that for the analyzed medium, a sample of oil and petroleum products, radiation from the X-ray source is directed, spatially separating the radiation from the X-ray source into the radiation stream directed through the X-ray fluorescence channel and the radiation stream directed through the X-ray adsorption channel, while the primary radiation in the X-ray fluorescence channel excites the fluorescence of impurity elements in oil and petroleum products, which is recorded using the X-ray fluorescence channel radiation detector, and the radiation passed through the X-ray adsorption channel is recorded using X-ray absorption channel detector, the electrical signals received from the detectors are processed, according to which the composition and amount of impurities are judged.
EFFECT: ensuring the possibility of continuous monitoring of the content of sulfur and other impurity elements at high pressure in the flow of oil and petroleum products.
