FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to estimation of automotive gasoline operating properties and can be used in drawing up recommendations on the use of gasoline in different fuel feed systems. Proposed method comprises forcing the tested gasoline through injector in cyclic duty conditions, every cycle consisting of operating and idle phases, and estimating gasoline tendency to form sediments from the number of cycles corresponding to drop in fuel pass capacity of 5%, as compared to starting capacity. Note that tested gasoline is forced through injector heated to 180±3°C. Note also that duration of every operating cycle makes 1±0.1 s, and that of idly cycle makes 1.8*103±60 s.

EFFECT: faster tests at higher accuracy in actual operating conditions.
