FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device comprises electric power source, traction motor armature and excitation windings connected in series with their common terminal connected to the first thyristor, second resistor, first current pickup and control unit, all connected in series. Control unit output is connected to the first thyristor control electrode. Control unit second output is connected to second thyristor control electrode. Proposed device comprises also capacitor and second current pickup. Traction motor armature winding free terminal is connected via second current pickup. Free terminals of the first current pickup and traction motor excitation winding are connected to positive terminal of power supply. Outputs of the first and second pickups are connected to control unit fist and second inputs, respectively. Free terminal of the first resistor is connected to the first input of voltage transformer with its input being connected to power supply. Second output of voltage transformer is connected with anode of the second thyristor.
EFFECT: higher reliability.
