FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: proposed gripper can be used in ships with nuclear steam plants, primarily, for loading rod-type fuel cells self-locking at the reactor top plate. Proposed gripper comprises casing furnished with frame and screw fitted in the casing. Aforesaid frame and screw have holes to receive a key. Key lower part accommodates outer square to get coupled with identical inner square of fuel cell rod. Key top part has a handle to revolve the key when fuel cell rod engages the compensating group plate and to control the coupling. Screw has a bearing surface representing a bead that allows unlocking the fuel cells. Sleeve has outer thread for jointing with fuel cells and inner thread to receive aforesaid screw.
EFFECT: higher reliability, expanded performances and higher safety.
