FIELD: power industry.
SUBSTANCE: fuel assembly loading grip includes turning bar with guide bushing fixed on it and shaped slots made in guide bushing and is equipped with fastening mechanism. Shaped slots in guide bushing of the grip are made mirror-like relative to symmetry plane of guide bushing. Each shaped slot represents central vertical slot beginning from lower end face of guide bushing and crossing with two L-shaped slots evenly spaced as to height and containing horizontal and downtake sections. Downtake sections of upper and lower L-shaped slots are made on both sides relative to central vertical slot.
EFFECT: use of the proposed grip design allows loading of new fuel assemblies to reactor core, installing new fuel assemblies into mounting seats of lower plate of reactor and controlling the coupling of fuel assembly shank to lower plate of reactor during one installation operation of fuel assembly into reactor core.
