FIELD: information technologies.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to the field of digital processing of signals and may be used to assess amplitude spectrum of periodical and polyharmonical signals. Method is suggested to improve digital spectral analysis of periodical and polyharmonical signals based on smoothening of interpolated short-term complex spectrum due to signal addition with zero counts. It helps to provide for both suppression of oscillations in spectrum, stipulated by final duration of analysed window, and independence of shape of short-term amplitude spectrum envelope on frequency of harmonic signal.
EFFECT: provision of substantially larger frequency resolution compared to alternative method of spectral analysis based on weighing of analysed signal by Hanning-Poisson window.
