FIELD: mechanics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to equipment dealing with steel tape reeling after hot rolling. The reel is driven around its axis by means of winding unit. The afore-said winding unit contains the following components: roller (3) to press the inner surface (11) of tape (1) to the reel (2), roller (3) feeding units (62) to the reel (2) and deflective plate (4) having cambered plane (40) to direct tape (1) movement along outer surface (20) of reel (2). Press roller (3) is installed so that in can rotate on movable bearing bar (6), which is a support for at least one hydro cylinder (62). The hydro cylinder is a feeding unit generating controllable force of tape (1) pressing by press roller (3) to the reel. Additional roller (5) is installed on the bar (6) directly above the press roller (3). The tape adjoins the additional roller (5) with the account of tape (1) crimping over press roller. Press (3) and additional (5) rollers are driven so that outer surface (12) of tape (1) was affected by pulling under friction action which is summarized with reel effort (2) applied to the inner surface (11).

EFFECT: increased pulling and crimping energy in the lower direction to be communicated to the tape by friction; 25-mm thick tape may be reeled.
