FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention is suitable for making scintillation sensors, used in systems for radiation monitoring objects and territories, radiation pollution zones, as well as for personal metering using a scintillation method. The inorganic scintillator contains potassium, lithium, copper and sodium sulphates in the following ratio of ingredients, wt %: Na2SO4 64.7-65.5, K2SO4 33.3-31.5, LiSO4 1-1.5, CuSO4-5H2O 1.0-1.5.
EFFECT: higher light output when detecting beta-emission and electron beams using a scintillation method.
