FIELD: inorganic crystal oscillators sensitive to beams of X-ray and electronic radiations and used for visualization of radiations in the systems of radiation monitoring, customs inspection, in the tomography and nondestructive testing using photodetective devices sensitive in the red spectrum band, including compact devices based of the PIN-photodiodes.
SUBSTANCE: the crystal scintillator has silver and thallium halides at the following relation of ingredients (weight %): Silver chloride - 18.0 to 22.0; Silver bromide - 74.5 to 73.0; Silver iodide - 0.5 to 1.0; Univalent thallium - 7.0 to 4.0.
EFFECT: development of a scintillator with a maximum glow spectrum in the red and short-range infra-red area of the spectrum coordinated with the spectral sensitivity of the PIN-photodiodes, provided a high loading ability of the detector.
