FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: image forming device has an image forming unit, which includes an image carrying element. It also contains an intermediate transfer element, onto which an image, formed on the said image carrying element and which is placed in the upper part of the said image forming unit, is transferred. The device has a case for accommodating the said image forming unit and the said intermediate transfer element. The said case can be pulled from the image forming device together with the said image forming unit and the said intermediate transfer element; and a supporting member, attached to the case so as to hold the said intermediate transfer element, with rotation about the said case. The device also has an opening for fitting and removing the said image forming unit by turning the said intermediate transfer element held by the said supporting member after pulling the case from the image forming device.
