SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a process cartridge and an electrophotographic image forming device in which it is used. The claimed group of inventions comprises an electrophotographic image forming device comprising a process cartridge. At that the process cartridge mounted with the ability to remove in the main assembly of the electrophotographic image forming device comprises a driving element (53) comprising (i) a photosensitive drum (1); (ii) a developing roller (25) made with the ability of a) developing an electrostatic latent image formed on the said photosensitive drum, and b) rotation about its axis; (iii) coupling element (20) provided on one axial end of the developing roller, and comprising: (iii-i) a driven part (21) provided on one axial end of the developing roller, and (iii-ii) an intermediate part (22) made with the ability of a) engagement with the driven part, and b) moving relative to the driven part in the direction (H) intersecting the axis of the developing roller while being engaged with the driven part; (iii-iii) a driving part (23) made with the ability of (a) perception of the driving force for rotating the developing roller, b) engaging the intermediate part, (c) displacement relative to the intermediate part in the direction (I) intersecting the axis of the developing roller, and which is different from the direction of displacement of the intermediate part, while remaining in engagement with the intermediate part, (iv) a holding part (11C, 18, 19, 11f) made with the ability to hold the axis of the driving part in a position inclined from the axis of the developing roller in the direction intersecting the axis of the developing roller for performing the engagement of the driving part with the driving element, when inserting the cartridge into the main assembly of the electrophotographic image forming device when the developing roller is in contact with the photosensitive drum.
EFFECT: technical result achieved from implementation of the claimed group of inventions is to develop a process cartridge and a small size electrophotographic image forming device in which the rotational driving force is imparted immediately to the developing roller through the shaft coupling element from the main assembly of the device independently from the motion imparted to the drum with the photosensitive surface layer, and also in improving the rotation accuracy of the developing roller and improving image quality, while increasing productivity, due to the fact that the maintenance operation is performed regardless of the worker from among the maintenance crew.
