FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: barrier optical membrane is made of elastic transparent material of copolymers of acrylic or vinyl series. It comprises an optical part in the form of a lens and a flat haptic part lying in a main plane of the lens of diametre 10 to 15 mm. On the front surface of the haptic part, the membrane contains two grooves arranged tangentially to the optical part and parallel to each other, from one to the other edge of the haptic part.
EFFECT: application of the present invention allows ensuring maximum possible visual functions, eliminating silicone discharge into anterior chamber, eliminating contact to posterior surface of iris.
