FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology, and aims at prediction of light silicon migration during silicon tamponade in accompanying aphakia. Before the procedure, ciliary body is examined by ultrasonic biomicroscopy (UBM), and after the procedure intraocular pressure (IOP) is measured by a Maklakov tonometre. If detachment of ciliary body of any degree of manifestation and the IOP level less than 16 mm Hg, postoperative light silicon migration into the anterior chamber is predicted.
EFFECT: method allows predicting light silicon migration into the anterior chamber in aphakia during silicon tamponade of the vitreous cavity that in turn ensures to prevent development of complications, to provide higher functional and anatomic effect of the surgical treatment.
