FIELD: instrument making.

SUBSTANCE: intended for use in manufacturing of filtering elements suitable for a respirator, unit of air filtration or other filtering devices. Conformal filtering element comprises a layer of filtering material between a pair of supporting plates, besides the main surfaces of support plates inverted to a layer of filtering material are bent relative to at least one axis. Bend transferred with supporting plates provides for conformal configuration to filtering element. A layer of filtering element may be a loose grainy filtering material, which may be preserved with a residual compression between supporting plates inside a filtering element. In method they deposit a layer of filtering material inside body foundation, the first supporting plate is installed inside the body foundation prior to deposition, moreover, the main surface of the first support plate is inverted to the filtering material; the first supporting plate is deformed after deposition of the filtering material layer. After deformation the main surface of the first support plate inverted to the filtering material is characterised with a bend relative to at least one axis.

EFFECT: method provides for efficiency and homogeneity of filtering element density.
