FIELD: instrumentation.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to filtering facilities of individual protection of respiratory organs. A filtering cartridge comprises a sensor for detection of presence of a chemical substance, a body, a cover and filtering media arranged inside the body. The sensor is located near the inner surface of the side wall of the body, which is transparent in the area of sensor location and includes marks to inform the user about the remaining service life of the cartridge. The sensor comprises a film array reacting to presence of the chemical substance by colour variation, including a detecting layer, a barrier layer, a reflecting layer, arranged between the barrier and detecting layers, and a semi-reflecting layer arranged at the side of the detecting layer opposite in respect to the reflecting layer. The barrier layer is fixed to the film array in the specified areas of the sensor and is inert towards the detecting layer for prevention of colour variation in the film array in the area arranged in the direction perpendicular to the barrier layer surface. The group of inventions also relates to a respirator comprising specified filtering cartridges.

EFFECT: group of inventions makes it possible to increase accuracy and validity of detection of remaining service life of a filtering cartridge due to sharp contrast between initial and signal colours of the sensor.
