FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to service life expiration indicators. Filter system comprises casing, filter medium, analyte optical sensor and optical reader. Said filter medium is arranged inside said casing. Analyte optical sensor comprises first region that features first reaction to appropriate analyte and second region that responses to second analyte. Note here that first response differs from the first one. Said sensor comprises detecting medium arranged inside said casing to make said medium communicate with filter medium. Optical reader comprises first and second assemblies. Every assembly comprises at least one light source and at least one detector. Said optical reader is secured to said casing to make light portion emitted by said first assembly light source be reflected from optical sensor first region and be received by first assembly said detector. Light portion emitted by said second assembly light source is reflected from optical sensor second region and received by assembly said detector.
EFFECT: output of data on filter medium life expiration.
