FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for reduction of drawing die wear, increase of efficiency in drawing production of cold-drawn strips of nichrome. Drawing die has a drawing channel with working and calibrating zones. Reduction of breakage, higher quality of nichrome strips surface is provided due to the fact that curves of drawing channel working zone angles are arranged with radius that makes not more than 0.125…0.039 of calibrating zone cross section thickness.
EFFECT: significant reduction of drawing channel wear, sharp reduction in number of strip breaks in process of billet bundle drawing, and also considerable increase of quality in surface of drawn strips.
