FIELD: transportation, packing and storage.
SUBSTANCE: inventions relate to cargo storage and handling in containers. Proposed method comprises determining container position, lifting container by crane into storage position. In compliance with first version, storage position determined, second mobile crane serviceability is checked up to move container into storehouse. If second crane is out of service, container gripped by first crane is moved directly onto storage position. In compliance with second version, if second crane is found unfit, container is gripped by first crane and moved into position wherefrom it is to be extracted, without placing the container in temporary storehouse. Proposed device comprises facilities that ensure transfer of containers and cranes motion.
EFFECT: rational storage and accelerated transfer of containers.
