SUBSTANCE: system for storage and transportation of pipes comprises depot in the form of shaft for storage of pipes in vertical position, device for transportation of pipes arranged as crane of hinged-coupled type with grip, and guide mechanism to guide crane gripping device to pick up the pipe for its displacement. At the same time crane gripping device is adjusted for insertion and gripping of pipe upper end in order to lift the pipe vertically at the distance corresponding to pipe length and pipe transfer in vertical position from depot to drill tower.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of string sections transportation between drill tower and area of storage.
