FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ferrous metallurgy, particularly to processing method vanadium-bearing cast irons. Method includes pouring of cast iron into converter, feeding of oxidant-cooler and slagging materials, blowing off of metal by oxygen, flushing of it into ladle, accumulation in converter of vanadium slag from cycle two-four previous melting and its canting into slag pot. At finishing melting of accumulation cycle of vanadium slag in the capacity of oxidant-cooler into converter there are added crushed up to 200 mm vanadium-bearing slags of monoprocess and/or steel slags of duplex-process in amount 1.5-20.0 kg/t of cast iron and provide temperature of metal in the end of blowing off for 100-200°C higher than liquidus temperature.
EFFECT: usage of invention will provide receiving of marketable vanadium-bearing slags, increasing of yield.
