FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to special electrometallurgy and can be used while treatment of slaggy and metallic bath at electroslag refining. In method it is implemented melting of consumed electrode, deoxidisation of slaggy and metallic bath and crystallisation of ingot in water-cooled casting mould. Additionally before the beginning of deoxidisation it is measured oxygen activity in metal, and amount of deoxidiser, introduced into metal is defined by formula: R=(0.1÷0.5)ao 2/3-(0.01÷0.02)(Al+Si+…), where R- amount of deoxidiser in terms of assimilated, %, ao - oxygen activity in metal, dimensionless quantity. Measurement of oxygen activity in metal is implemented during the melting process one or more times, and amount of introduced deoxidiser is corrected by results of oxygen activity in metal.
EFFECT: invention provides improvement of quality of metal, reduction of chemical inhomogeneity of metal, and also increasing of metal purity by nonmetallic inclusions.
