SUBSTANCE: device for providing compound identification marking on padding of protective document, in which compound identification marking contains first identification marking on first side of padding and second identification marking on second side of padding. Clamed device contains first marking station and second marking station. Also device contains means for bringing first padding side into interaction with marking station. Second marking station is a laser marking station for laser ray generation. Laser irradiation can pass through padding without changing it essentially and can react with set part of material, which absorbs essential quantity of irradiation, imitated by laser ray. Second marking station is placed in such way that laser ray is directed on layer of adsorbing material through first side and through padding for formation of second identification marking only on second side of padding.
EFFECT: claimed invention provides for obtaining marking, which has improved protection against coping and falsification.
