PUMP SYSTEM SUPPLYING FUEL TO INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC F02M51/04

Abstract RU 2372515 C2

FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: pump system supplying fuel to double-cylinder internal combustion engine includes HP discharge main pipelines, drive liquid pump, drain pipes equipped with control equipment, fuel source, injection device, and consists of two pumps. Each pump is made in the form of a cylindrical housing, in the cavity of which there located is elastic deformable piston formed with two flexible diaphragms and lateral surface of cylindrical housing. In upper part of the housing there located is a filler opening with a closing plug, which is meant for filling the piston cavity with incompressible drive liquid with low viscosity. Piston divides cylindrical cavity into two chambers, drive liquid chamber and fuel supply chamber. Drive liquid chamber is formed with an end cover of cylindrical housing, which is connected to end surface of cylinder with a flanged connection for example by means of bolts and to peripheral part of the diaphragm fastened between them in a circumferential direction. In the end cover there made is an inlet - drain hole, through which the chamber is connected with channels of HP discharge main pipeline through electromagnetic distribution valve to drive liquid source and the drain main pipeline channels through electromagnetic distribution valve to drive liquid source. Fuel supply chamber is formed with an end cover of cylindrical housing, which is connected to the end surface of the cylinder with a flanged connection for example by means of bolts and to peripheral part of flexible diaphragm fastened between them in a circumferential direction. In the end cover there made is an inlet hole through which the chamber is connected with LP discharge main pipeline channels through shutoff valve to fuel source, and a drain hole through which the chamber is connected to injection device. Solid porous membranes with the specified permeability are located symmetrically on both sides and mirror-like to each other and relative to flexible diaphragm from the side of rotochamber. One of the chambers is installed in the mounting seat located on internal surface of the end cover, and the other one is installed in the mounting seat located on internal surface of cylindrical housing. Each of the membranes has in its section the form of a rectangle and distance between internal sides of membranes is determined with the specified volume of drive liquid chamber, which is determined with the volume of the fuel supplied to injection device per a cycle.

EFFECT: designing pump system supplying the fuel to multiple-cylinder internal combustion engine.
