FIELD: engine engineering. SUBSTANCE: engine has a piston which is received in the cylinder and whose bottom is provided with a combustion chamber connecting passage of which is shifted with respect to the axis of the cylinder in the direction of the outlet port. The blowing passage is made in the housing. The passage is mounted tangentially to the generatrix of the chamber surface for connecting it with the inlet port when the piston is at the bottom dead center. A flame passage which is arranged oppositely to a spark plug is made in the bottom. The spark plug is mounted in the head, and the wall of the cylinder is provided with a nozzle whose openings point in the spark plug and combustion chamber. When Diesel fuel is used, the fuel is injected at the top dead center when one of the axes of the nozzle openings is coincident with the axis of the blowing passage. Fuel is ignited by both heated air in the combustion chamber and flame of burning gases ignited with the plug. In blowing, compressed air is fed to the combustion chamber through the inlet port and passage and removes residual gases from it. EFFECT: simplified design. 11 cl, 4 dwg
