FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: compressor-expander corresponds rotor-type toothed machine of volume principle of operation, feeding actuating medium through ports of inlet and outlet 3 and 4 with increasing or decreasing of pressure. Machine contains casing and installed in housing borings rotors with ability of rotation in bearings. Pivot pins of rotors 1 and 2 intersects in central point C. Tooth profiles in each section of rotors 1 and 2 of radius sphere R with center in point C are geometrically similar to each other with scale factor between whatever two sections, equal to ratio of radiuses of mentioned spherical sections. Profile of each rotor 1 and 2 is rotated relative to pivot pin of this rotor for angle, changing in helical curve law. Two central rotors are installed on common axis in the opposite direction to internal spherical surfaces of rotors, herewith each of central rotors is engaged to pair to it side rotors in amount not less than one for partial balancing of loads. Clearances in slots between rotors 1 and 2 and casing 5 are implemented of variable quantity, on surface of profiles sections there are applied sealing grooves with variable density of application towards to point C.
EFFECT: efficiency upgrading of operation by means of reduction of actuating medium leakage.
