FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in rotary piston pumps, compressors, hydraulic motors and engine with internal and external supply of heat. Proposed rotary machine has housing with compression plates, working medium inlet and outlet channels and end face walls, hollow profiled rotor with toothed rim on its inner surface eccentrically installed in housing and synchronization mechanism made in form of gears installed on two shafts for engaging with rotor toothed rim. External and internal generatrices of rotor have profile formed by three pairs of opposite larger and smaller segments of circumference with centers in vertices of equilateral triangle. Length of section formed between points of intersection of straight line passing through centers of shafts with profile generatrix is constant at turning of rotor. Machine is furnished with wheels-rollers installed in parallel to gears and rolling along smooth grooves made on inner surface of rotor. Radius of wheels-rollers and gears is smaller than radius of smaller segment of rotor inner generatrix.
EFFECT: reduced overall dimensions and weight, increased efficiency, specific power output and capacity, increased service life of compression plates and positive displacement rotary machines.
