FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: image forming device includes: photoconductive image carrier; electric apparatus which electrifies the image carrier and writing apparatus, which writes the image onto the surface of the image carrier after electrification, so as to form a hidden electrostatic image. The device also includes exposure apparatus, which exposes the hidden electrostatic image due to adhesion of toner to the hidden electrostatic image, forming toner image; and transfer apparatus which transfers the toner image. The image forming device additionally includes: memory device which stores data on surface non-uniformity on each of the following types of non-uniformities: non-uniformity of electrification potential, which arises during electrification in different positions of the surface of the image carrier; and non-uniformity of exposure potential, which arises during exposure in different positions on the surface of the image carrier. The exposure apparatus is made with possibility of correcting in each of the said positions of non-uniformity of electrification potential and non-uniformity of exposure potential, regulating optical radiation from the exposure apparatus through correcting values, calculated based on separately stored data on surface non-uniformity.

EFFECT: elimination of the problem of non-uniformity on the image carrier.
