FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: directing device consists of two rotors with blades and receiving tray. Rotor blades are flat, of rectangular form, equal in size and are placed with respect to each other in such way that in horizontal plane two matched rotor blades are at the same level with minimal clearance So. The smallest length of rotor blades is determined from condition: ,
where Dmax is maximal size of root vegetable in plane of the greatest diametre, mm; Ψb is angle between neighbouring rotor blades, degree, Ψb = 2π/zb where zb is the number of rotor blades, pieces. Receiving tray is installed under matched rotor blades at angle to horizontal greater than angle of friction of root vegetable sliding against its surface. Receiving tray is made concave and narrowing towards the end. Matched blades of two rotors, which are installed parallel to each other at the same level, form during motion symmetrical V-shaped chute.
EFFECT: invention allows to increase reliability of directing large size range of cone-shaped root vegetables irrespective of their geometrical parameters and possesses higher productivity.
