FIELD: personal articles.
SUBSTANCE: optical device for hair removal contains: unit of light emission for light emission; unit of irradiation for irradiation with light emitted by unit of light emission on hair on body skin; and unit of control for control of unit for light emission. Unit of irradiation contains unit of detecting movement for detecting movement of unit of irradiation on skin and unit of detecting contact for detecting contact between unit of irradiation and skin. Device additionally contains unit of light detection for detecting light, which is emitted from unit of light emission and light penetrating from outside into unit of light irradiation through clearance between unit of irradiation and skin, when unit of irradiation is brought into contact with skin. Unit of control provides unit of light emission with possibility to emit light, if unit of light detecting indicates that light did not penetrate into clearance, when unit of light emission did not emit light.
EFFECT: construction of device provides possibility to prevent penetration of emitted light into user's eyes.
