FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, namely to light exposure apparatuses. The apparatus comprises a light source generating light pulses within the wavelength range of 400 to 1200 nm, and a light guide distributing light pulses at power intensity 0.2 to 10 J/cm2 at a pre-set distance from a light-emitting surface. The light guide comprises a light direction control unit. The wavelength range to be cut off varies with the amount of eumelanin and pheomelanin in skin melanin.
EFFECT: using the invention provides hair removal or reduction of the amount thereof using the low-power light with no load on the skin due to cell death.
