SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to vertebrology and can be used for diagnosing varix dilatation of anterior radicular veins of lumbar spine. Dopplerography of veins of epidural plexus at the level of lumbar spine id carried out from anterior access in horizontal section. To visualise anterior radicular veins plane of scanning is changed, lateral edge of electronic convex sensor being turned cranially at the angle of 20 degrees, diametre of anterior radicular veins is evaluated and if diametre increases to 3.01+0.43 mm and more, varix dilatation of anterior radicular vein on the side of diametre increase is diagnosed.

EFFECT: method allows to ensure objective visual determination of blood flow in anterior radicular veins of lumbar spine, detect exact location of pathological process in form of varix dilatation of anterior radicular veins of lumbar spine, increase examination quality, as well as ensure possibility to set control of treatment results in case of presence of varix dilatation of anterior radicular veins of lumbar spine.
